My name is Tony DeNicola, a professional radio engineer and owner of a AM 1000 transmitter operating on 1710 in Edison, NJ. I also own and operate my licensed 1KW AM station in VA and work for Clear Channel Radio in New Jersey. I have to say that this transmitter stands right up to the sound of a Harris or Nautel when you use professional audio equipment like a CRL, or Optimod. I must say I’m very impressed with the coverage of the signal with such a low output power. The high Q gain of the output circuit really is incredible into a CB whip. My AM 1000 is mounted on my patio wood fence and is 10 ft off the ground and gets out 3 miles with great sounding audio using a Compellor and CRL compressor along with c CRL NRSC filter. I must give my thanks to radio engineer and also owner of a AM 1000 to Dave McCrork who told me about Keith’s AM 1000. After I heard his station on 1620 in PA I was sold and contacted Keith Hamilton to purchase one. I plan to broadcast Adult Standards along with Big Band music and news 24/7 by the summer of 2006 once I install the transmitter in my back yard away from the house on a 50 ft. telescopic mast. Thanks Keith for making it possible to broadcast to my local community legally. I have pictures on my website.

Keith, an update on my radio station since I first wrote you how satisfied I was with your transmitter. Using a boom-box with an antenna I pick up my radio in a brick office building 2 miles from the transmitters. I found that the boom-box was better than the Radio Shack antenna. Thanks again
The
RangeMaster is the best Part 15 transmitter I know of. On a 25 ft office
building roof with a 5ft poll, a single transmitter gave us a distance of nearly
2 miles! Audio was excellent. Getting ready to put a community radio station
on the air using multiple transmitter locations.

The performance, reliability, and audio quality of the AM 1000 is amazing.
Our audio chain consists
of an Aphex Compellor 320A and an Omnia 3AM. Our audio chain coupled with the
AM 1000
produces a sound so good that you can't tell the difference in audio quality
between us and our local
small market 25Kw AM Radio Station. You could pay thousands more and only get
half the audio
quality of the AM 1000. In our opinion the AM 1000 is absolutely the BEST
transmitter available.

As an owner of the Rangemaster outdoor transmitter, I can genuinely vouch for its professional design and performance without hesitation. My Rangemaster has been performing flawlessly for several years and under many adverse weather conditions here in the north east. Its rock-solid signal can be compared to units costing thousands of dollars and my coverage area has far exceeded all of my expectations. While I would have been content with a 1-2 mile range, I have received telephone calls and e-mail from listeners at distances as 10 miles or more from our studios. I consider the Rangemaster the be the Cadillac of low-power transmitters on the market today and would highly recommend it to any serious broadcast enthusiasts.

"We used the RangeMaster at our Church for a drive-through Christmas Play so people could stay in the warmth of their cars yet hear messages we transmitted throughout the performance. The RangeMaster worked beautifully and was easy to set up per the enclosed instructions. Sound on the radio was as good as a radio station within the half mile radius. The people at RangeMaster were courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this unit for similar uses.
I used 5 am 1000 range masters, for my lpam in nv, they were on a billboard 60 feet high, they more than covered the town 4 miles by 3 miles, and my station sounded like a 1kw these are the best xmtr's you can buy, and they are worth every penny, I know, I have set up stations all over the u.s. Our school has been using RangeMaster transmitters for our student radio station for some time. The quality is exceptional in every important area. The RangeMaster has the best coverage, the best sound, the best reliability and, most importantly, the best company to stand behind it. The syncing feature has given us the ability to serve specific areas with professional results. Keith, we’re real believers in your product!

Hi Keith,
Today we went for a family drive to see how far we would be able to receive our signal.
I have it mounted on a rohn 25 type of tower at 25 feet with the ground strap of about 6 inches clamped onto the tower. Useable range in the car, ie, pleasant to listen to is an easy 2 miles - depending on electrical noise from the electrical utilities. At about 5 miles it was getting unpleasant to listen to but still understandable.
At 10 miles you could tell it was still there, but not understandable. At that point I pulled out my Radio Shack DX440 receiver and Kiwa Pocket Loop antenna. Was able to pull in the signal again and easy to understand. If I was going to listen at that range I would put up a long wire or use a better loop antenna - for instance the Kiwa Medium Wave air core balanced loop.
In other words it was getting to be a dx signal. We ran out of road at 14 miles and at that point we could tell it was there on the car stereo - barely, and with the portable receiver with loop antenna it was back up to understandable but not to pleasant to listen to.
We had been running the audio a little on the low side due to some of our test programming not being equalized to the same audio levels.
So the last few days we have been turning up the audio input until it starts to get a little distortion and then backing it down just a little bit.
The difference was quite noticeable, especially around town at the 2 mile range in that it cut thru the electrical noise alot better. I would estimate an increase in useable range by 1/3 to 1/2more by getting the average modulation higher. Actually the difference was enough that we were raising our eyebrows in surprise. So down the road a decent processor will be installed so we can take advantage of the
+125% modulation that the RangeMaster will transmit.
As far as audio quality, the transmitter is quite hi fi, so it will depend on your receiver as far as how wide its IF filters are for how good of a sound you will get. With the average wide as a barn door consumer AM receiver with decent speakers it will give a signal comparable to an FM.

I've been using the Rangemaster Transmitter for the past three years for my Part 15 station and couldn't be more satisfied with it's performance.
It is an excellent, reliable unit.
I live in a condo complex in a very congested area of New Jersey. The town I'm in has warehouses other complexes and lots of overhead electrical wires. My transmitter is on the second floor terrace of a five story building. Even with the height restrictions and the obstructions I get almost 1 mile range and the audio quality is excellent If you are planning to start a Part 15 station, I would strongly recommend the Rangemaster, you won't regret it!

The Rangemaster1000 has proven to me to be the most effective Part 15 type accepted AM transmitter available on the market today. The range is phenomenal and the sound quality fantastic. The service after the sale is top notch. All our questions were answered fast and accurately. The best product, and the best people!
Thanks!

As a commercial radio DJ, I’ve always had limitations as to what I can do and say over the airwaves. Not anymore thanks to the RangeMaster LPAM. We have about a 2 mile radius around my house that can clearly hear the antics and goings on at my Radio ranch. Our RangeMaster’s signal is clean, and the Bass response is like nothing I’ve ever heard on the AM dial. We’ve been running the RangeMaster for many years and with all the high winds, bad weather and extreme heat here in Las Vegas, it just keeps kicking out the hits. What transmits in Vegas keeps transmitting in Vegas thanks to the RangeMaster.

I
used the Hamilton Rangemaster transmitter... I had 4 of them, with the main
here in a small town of about 6,000 homes. the station at 60 foot, covered the
town and then some. in another part of the county, I had another transmitter
on top of a motel, audio connected by telephone line, and eq'ed for frequency
and balance. that transmitter covered the island in witch it was in, and
overlapped the first town's signal without a problem.
The audio quality of the Hamilton is professional quality. can't get any
closer other than fm... the audio quality, when set up correctly from your
audio source, should sound as equal to big stations. there is no difference.
600 ohm input to the Rangemaster, is the same as the 50,000 watt transmitters.
The range, with good grounding, and height of the transmitter will, yield a
harvest of signal output. the best way I can relay this, and this is where
people have a hard time understanding..... most transmitters are tuned for the
highest output within the FCC laws.... this is the same except, with this
transmitter, it is best optimized to the environment in which it is installed,
therefore transmitting a signal that is surpassing any part 15 transmitter
that is tunable. this, itself, makes the Rangemaster the king of the air.

Keith, I think you've done a great job with your Rangemaster and made it possible for old pros like myself to get into hobby broadcasting without being forced to buy junk. Just because we broadcast as a hobby, doesn't mean we no longer desire using professional equipment!

Of course the most important thing when installing any AM antenna is the ground system. With a properly installed Rangemaster the performance for me has been both impressive and very reliable. Mounted outside on my roof on a tripod, exposed to all the nasty weather Indiana can throw at it, this unit has functioned non-stop since installed. Despite local lightning strikes and below zero weather, this transmitter marches along like a little grey soldier asking nothing more than clean 12v DC and a good antenna to shoot with! If I had to do this purchase over again, would I? You betcha!

Hi Keith! Just wanted to tell you how great your transmitters are. I've put several in for my customers and they love them. The range and audio quality are exceptional and I want to thank you for your great products.
I highly recommend them for anyone who's serious about part 15
broadcasting. Thanks again, Joe

Keith,
I'm using the innovonics 222. Range is 1-3 miles. Still have some work to do. I'm programming Country Music. The transmitter is up about 45 feet.Plan to go higher on my tower. Audio on transmitter is great.
I wish we could put out more power. I like the 1000 rangemaster. I would purchase another one.

Our local talk radio station left our town and I got picked to come up with a solution. I did a lot of research on part15 and found that everyone recommends the Rangemaster. I have never messed with any radio equipment before the Rangemaster. After receiving it, and watching the included DVD, I had this transmitter up and running within a few hours. The transmitter is up on top of my building about 30 feet high. It really sounds great. We are getting great range. On a good day we can hear the station about 8 miles away, but the average is about 3 to 4 miles on a good signal and we live in an area with lots of hills and mountains. After seeing how great this transmitter works, we ordered another one for the next town in our area and it is now running great and now everyone is happy. The range with the ease of setup (even for me) makes this the best transmitter out there,
Thanks Keith for everything

We tested other transmitters on the market before choosing the Rangemaster. There's really no comparison, as the Rangemaster gives far superior range and sound quality. Additionally, our broadcasting engineer raves over it's superior construction and design. Way to go Keith!
The Hamilton AM transmitter has the best sounding audio of any low power AM transmitter on the market today. In addition the broadcast range clearly surpasses that of any part 15 AM kit on the market. This unit is FCC type certified for part 15 AM applications. Knowing the unit has the FCC seal of approval allows me to broadcast hassle free with little worry about a problem with the FCC.

Dear Keith,
I just wanted to write to let you know how pleased I am with my AM1000 transmitter. Its’ quality and durability have certainly exceeded my expectations.
I purchased the unit from you two years ago for my neighborhood broadcasting station after having unsatisfactory results with a competitor’s “assemble-it-yourself” kit transmitter. The AM1000 was easy to set up and tune, and after two years of continuous operation, still performs flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a part-15 AM transmitter with superior range, sound quality, and dependability.
Sincerely,
Alex H.
Our company recently installed a Rangemaster AM1000 to provide community radio in our area. It has exceeded our expectations! Not only do we have superb range, but coupled with an Inovonics 222 AM processor, we actually sound better than the large FM stations in our area! The craftsmanship of this unit is excellent and its performance is every bit as good as our regular broadcast equipment. I highly recommend the AM1000 to any organization that wishes to provide quality “ON AIR” programming for a small community or other application. In our opinion, it’s the best on the market!
